I need a Sidecar. STAT!

One of my clients has their big annual fundraising dinner tonight, so it’s been a crazy few weeks getting ready for it.  As soon as the dinner is over and I can get home and take off these high heels and peel off this dress, I’m making myself a well-deserved Sidecar.  My recipe is reeeeeaaaaaaallly precise.  *snort*   Ready?  Here we go:

Giant ice cube in glass.

Squeeze juice from two small limes over the giant ice cube.  You can use lemons, but I prefer limes. It’s smoother and more awesome with limes.

Then, pour in three glugs of brandy (or cognac) and two glugs of Cointreau (or Grand Marnier).

Stick your finger in and swirl it around.  Or hey, fancy pants, use a spoon or cocktail stirrer.

Booze has scared me in terms of things to re-try recently. I know the wheat/gluten is supposed to be removed during a lot of distilling processes for some stuff, but I’ve been very hesitant to try things that have a wheat in their mash since I had a bad reaction that may or may not have been due to Bushmills.

7:40am – car dead – work an hour late, 7 (SEVEN) hour conference call about nothing to do with me, rubbish biscuit for lunch – wish I’d thought of a sidecar – woman – you are a genius!!!
